Four Inquiries  – What Do You Believe?

Open-Mindedness

A “belief” is something you know to be true. If we say “I believe in God” we mean “I know that God exists.” When we say “I believe in democracy” we mean “I am certain that democracy is important or good.”When we look up, the sun seems to move across the sky and it feels like we are standing still. But, as Galileo proved, it is the earth that actually MOVES around the sun! His story reminds us that what we think we know for certain can sometimes change. Has life ever caused YOU to be Open-Minded and question a belief?
