Dear Supporters and Friends,

We would like to share our deep appreciation to the Coxe Family for their magnificent $500,000 match, launching our $1,250,000 campaign to bring the SERIES newest one-act play—“The Founding”—to the first 10,000 students nationwide. We received notification of their gift after these longtime friends of the program viewed the 2-minute video above which captures the impact of this civic education curriculum on the first students in America to experience it. We hope you will take a look for yourself and join us in unlocking these matching funds with your support for this vital initiative. We’re off to a great start…and we still have a long way to go!

On the 250th anniversary of American independence, we feel that nothing could be more important than educating the next generation to the virtues of democracy. Together, we can awaken our kids to the responsibilities of citizenship and celebrate the civic values at the very core of our identify as a nation. Our founders, at a time of grave challenges and division, put aside their differences to forge this bold, new form of government, which however flawed, still stands today as a testament to visionary ideals and the spirit of compromise. 

Nearly 150 students have now piloted “The Founding” and their outcomes have exceeded our expectations. “Engaging eighth graders in civics is about as challenging as it gets” says partner Social Studies teacher, John Rowan. “But this…this was an extraordinary experience for every one of my students and will be remembered by all of us for years to come!” Eighth grade parent, Mia Rondinella, added “I cannot understate how vital “The Founding” is. My son has literally been imprinted by this experience. The shift in his understanding and his awakening to the responsibilities of citizenship is profound. “The Founding” is a masterpiece and has the potential to awaken civic engagement in students everywhere.”
